how can I track the 1981 corvette I used to own
I was the original owner of a 1981 2 tone beige/bronze corvette. I am hoping to
track it down. I want to purchase it (or one like it if it's not available). How is
the best way to do that? Does Bowling Green keep records of the original
owners? Any help would be appreciated.
This comes down to privacy issues. Government agencies can't help; even employees need permission to check, though a VIN or Plate Number search within the DMV would work (Police often do this officially). You could search the web for Plate Number or VIN, or even the name of your buyer, and see what comes up, or go to local Chevy or Vette clubs for help. If the sale was somewhat recent, a classified ad might be helpful. Shopping for a replacement might be more successful. There are lots of old car sites like CarGurus, or Hemmings ----- A Long Shot: If you have a friend at an Insurance Company, and he's willing to risk it, he could request info by plate # with a story about looking for an accident witness.
