Fair market value for 1978 corvette
It really depends on what shape it is in. if it is all original. and if it has all the matching numbers.
Nothing overly special about that year and the horse power was low... go to NADA.com and you should be able to find it there to pull $$ on it, but as Bandit said above, condition, originality and mileage can cause drastic swings as well as where you are... might sell better in FL than it would in Maine because it is a seasonal car where it snows...
Market value is what someone will pay for it. Condition, mileage and cleanliness, with documentation. I was cleaning out my garage yesterday and found a large box with all the work sheets done on my 1969 Corvette since new. Funny the price of parts in 1970. If your wanting to get good money for the car, you may consider having it professionally detailed to look very well maintained. Any car nearly 35 years old will sell better if it looks good.
