I am trying to find out the value of my 1978 25th anniversary Corvette Pace Car model Edition
I have a 1978 25th anniversary Corvette. I was tld it was also a Pace Car edition. Is this
possible and what would be the value of this Corvette? It has been modified some.
1978 there was a Indy pace car edition. Without pics and a description of the car, such as mileage and condition, I would guess it's worth around $8-10K.. Totally restored to showroom condition would be up to $30K to the right buyer.
Thank you very much. That will help me out in my listing price to put the car up for sale. Have a great Friday.
Look at the www.vettefinders.com website for what people are asking for 1978 Corvettes. Modifications will have a negative effect on the value of the car. All 1978 corvettes were 25th anniversary edition cars. The pace car was black and silver with graphics identifying it as a pace car. I have attached 2 photos. The silver one is a anniversary edition, the black and silver one is a pace car. Does yours look like one of these?
Sorry, only the pace car photo uploaded. Here is the Silver photo.
The real pace car had a large badge on each side like in the picture. I have seen some painted to resemble a pace car and put the sticker on it also along with the added special front air damns. It is is like in this picture, it is of greater value than a stock factory production 1978 Corvette
No it does not look like these at all. The previous owner painted it red and there is no sign of the original paint at all. It does have a brand new rebuilt motor. Less than a thousand miles on it.
