How do I turn on the O/D? When I push the button, a light comes on indicating, O/D OFF.

To turn on the O/D, push the button to turn off the lighted words, O/D OFF?  And, that turns the O/D on?  I'm so confused.

Yes. The light comes on when you disengage the OD. To engage, push the button again and the light will go out. Your car runs all of the time with the OD active until you turn it off.
