2002 Honda CR-V All Wheel Drive Engagement
How does this AWD system work? How do I know when I am in AWD mode?
The manual says nothing about it and there appears to be no indicator as to
when the system is active.
All wheel drive means exactly that your in it all the time, under normal conditions in a straight line all the wheels receive the same amount of power, the computer is monitoring this all the time so if it detects any wheel slip power is transferred to the wheels with traction, so you normally won't feel a thing until you get into extremely slick conditions. If you would like to watch a video on the basics of AWD there are a few on You Tube, just type in AWD in the search.
