Honda CRV 2005 CV joint

I know I need to replace my drivers side CV joint, it's
making popping and cracking noises. Was wondering if
it's possible to remove the part from another Honda (
civic, accord, ect.) and replace it. Is this too much to get
myself into ?  After replacing my ignition from a 2007
Accord I am really excited and anxious to learn. But have
heard that these joints can be a mess in a half. Thanks

I'd replace the whole shaft assembly, especially if you are going used. a new one will run you around $60. I know of no compatible list for parts across different vehicles.
