Looking at 1985 IROC Camaro with1,600 original miles on it. Has 3" of free play in steering wheel. What would cause this and what is the fix
With only 1600 miles, sounds like something broke from sitting. You'll have other issue in the near future to swap out, like all the rubber parts from dry rotting and cracking. Did you get under the car to check? You can have your mechanic look it over for you before purchase.
85 was a crappy year along with 86. 88 is when they got cool. 1600 miles and the steerings jacked up? doesntake much sense
dammit. i wasnt done. how does it have slop? turning the wheel or like shaking it?
