I have a 350 carbed engine camaro it cuts off while
driving seems like there's no gas getting to it what
all possibility problems could that be?
If it is a no fuel problem, it could be a fuel pump, plugged sock in the fuel tank, rubber fuel hoses collapsing, if it is a stock Quadrajet carb then the fuel filter could be plugged and the needle and seat could be damaged especially if it hasn't been redone to handle this garbage they call fuel today. HTH
:( I was hoping you didn't say fuel pump that's the hardest scenario, I don't think my car has a fuel filter I checked everywhere for it unless it's also in the tank.
The fuel filter is in the carb inlet fitting, take it off and there is a small ceramic filter and spring, so watch how it comes apart so you can put back after you get another filter.
I also seen that doing research I'm not 100% sure if I have one of those inlets but to double check, it's not a quadrajet cars
So the stock carb is gone? If so what is on it now? Maybe it is first generation fuel injections?
It's a summit branded carb with two gas line ports and four barrels
That sounds like a Holley, keep looking for a fuel filter, it will be a inline type, if you don't see one in the engine compartment then start looking down the line. If it doesn't have one then the carb might be full of crud.
So that may require a good cleaning or new carburetor I hope not, but thank you sir I'll look on that
If it is indeed a Holley, overhaul kits are readlly avaliable at most parts stores, so unless it is totally messed up inside a overhaul kit will contain everything you will need.
Awe man that sounds complicated, I'm do the smaller possible solutions first and work my way up. Thanks again! :)
