There are a lot of them in my area but not as many as Ford and GM. Subaru's have a rather limited appeal and they make only one type of car which is good if you live in snow country. Most people don't need AWD.

SOA now has surpassed VW in grabbing 3% US market share. But in the snowbelt they're MUCH more prevalent.
