2000 mitsibishi lancer broke a alternator belt & replaced it but car won't start! Motor turns but won't fire

Did you forget to hook up an electrical connection when you removed parts to replace the belt? Did you check if you have fuel pressure, spark?


what caused the belt to break? Are u sure the water pump didnt lock up and take the timing belt out too? If the harmonic balancer stopped suddenly it may have broke your alternator belt
