Best Way to increase power on a mini 998cc engine

does anyone have any idea or experience in upgrading the 998cc mini
engines power and performance?
its a 1974 mini

Cheapest way would be cold air intake followed by throttle body upgrade. Computer programmer will give you a noticeable increase in power. Fuel injectors and ignition system but if you do one do the other or it could cause a lot of carbon build up which over time will decrease horse power and throttle response.

a cold air intake is separate inlet and outlet manifolds? also if it was injected you would have to change the head on the engine?
