I have a 2001 mercedes c200 kompressor, i suspect i may have a faulty cooling fan, how do i test the working order?

Start the car, bring it up to running temperature and the fan should come on and cycle. You could also disconnect the plug and put a 12 volt source to the wires going to the fan side and see if it turns. if it does then it could be the sensor that control the fans on and off operation, you will need a meter to test this.
