why dos my w203 C220 CDI have more torque than the e46 M3

Because it's a low geared POS... It makes most of it's torque below 2,600 rpm which is why hp is in the low 200's(218 is the spec I beleive for most of the c220's).... Plus it's a heavier car....plus it looks like every other Mercedes out there.... So long story short... You're comparing your orange to an Apple, and it happens to be your orange is bruised and you're comparing it to a very nice apple... Only way you would win is if the judge really like oranges or hated apples...
