Why doesnt my 1996 luxus 300 pick up lick it used to after changing the water pump.(meaning: doesnt spin the tires as burning out or having "balls") :

Was the timing belt replaced at that time? If so they may have got it back on a cog or 2 slow so it won't have the low end power it use to have.

No, we didnt mess with the timing belt. We took off where the pully was at. Could it be that he made the timing belt turn with the wrench while the car was off. So, the 2 marks can line up at the top?

Yes.. But they werent lined up from the top. So he turned the timing belt so they can be lined up to the top.

All 3 marks have to line up with the notches and pointers, if they get too far off you run the risk of pistons hitting the valves.
