Truck slows to 30mph and other stuff.
I will start from the beginning and in order.
Bought a 2005 Ford Explorer. Week later the
transmission starts grinding then won't shift. It
dies. Checked fluid, black water.
Bought transmission from company, had it
installed. Now all this happened right after;
First, as I was trying to fill the gas tank the pump
shut off as if I was full. It only read 3/4 full on the
dash. Odd but drives good.
Second, drive car around next day and no issues.
Get home, turn car off for about an hour. Try to
start it and nothing. When I turn the key it literally
makes no sound. Everything on accessory power,
etc still working. I open the hood and mess with
the battery terminal and try to start it. Nothing. Try
it again about 30 seconds later and it starts.
Lastly, wife driving to work and calls me. Said truck
lost power and she can't go past 30mph. She pulls
over, shuts it off and starts it back up. Runs fine.
This is where we're at, currently. Not sure if
anything is connected or not. Could changing the
transmission have caused these issues? Fuel
pump maybe? Please, any help will be
appreciated!
