87 f150 dies

I have an 87 f150 5.0. starts up fine every
time but dies and sputters out like it's
running out of gas. no clue what it could be

I would check the fuel filter and fuel pump. Does your truck have dual tanks?

yes it does. I replaced the high pressure mounted pump on the frame awhile back. haven't looked into filter or pump. what should I be looking for as far as red flags go
