Malfunction with my overdrive

All the time I start my car up to time I cut it off
overdrive is Flash over and over my car is sputtering

You didn't list a year or model, but a flashing OD light means your automatic transmission is overheating and or there are other issues. If they light was on and or flashing you can pull some OBDii codes to find out the exact cause. Just hope it is an electrical issue and not mechanical. Mechanical you will be rebuild and or replace the transmission.
