I have a 1976 dodge van and needs new brake vacuum assist. Is that a pain in the ass to fix or just a waste of time

Odd, I thought most of those used the hydro boost system. But in any case, if you are just changing the booster it's not too bad a job. You really need the booster, otherwise you would need both feet to stop the thing.
