charging problems

My Chrysler Intrepid 1998 is having charging
issues.  I've replaced the alternator and still battery
light still come on after it runs for about five
minutes. And the battery eventually died and I
have nothing.  It won't until I recharge the battery.
Also when the battery light come on there is a
beep in under the dashboard.

You can check with a digital multi meter set on DCV. It should show around 14.5 DCV with the vehicle running. Also if the battery is bad you may get a false reading. Should have the battery checked, it may have a shorted cell. Checking the battery voltage with the meter it should show 12.5 to 12.7 DCV. fully charged.
