Question type: Car Customization

My 2012 chevy Cruze has remote
start but does not have the climate
control option which I feel is
pointless because it doesn't even
warm up my car. I just have the
regular controls that won't turn on
when remote starting my car. With
the climate controls it can set the
tempature, and automatically
be on when remote started . Will it
work if I buy a the face  that had that
option? will it fit? Sorry I am a girl
and don't know anything about cars

If you leave the heat on when you shut the car off it defaults back to off? If so, at least the engine will be warm and won't take long to warm up cabin or defrost. I'm afraid there is more to it than just the face plate. And geez, being a girl has nothing to do with it, lots of guys don't know anything about cars, myself included

Ditto what Fordnut said! I've met plenty of men who know nothing about vehicles don't put yourself down like that.

And well if it has The climate control it will automatically turn heat if its Cold And ac if it's hot out.

But I did notice yesterday afternoon that it did heat up the car with remote start but then last night when I turned it on afterwork the heater didn't turn on even though it was in high... It is only doing it sometimes.

No even with climate control it doesn't adjust to the outside weather. You have to pick what you want it to do before you get out of the car. So when you remote start the car it will blow only what tempature you chose before you got out.

You might read your owners manual about how and when the heater/air condition works with remote start.

Yeah I had read it and that's what it had said. With mine since I don't have climate control I have to leave it at the tempature I want it so when I remote start it will come on. But it sucks because sometimes I turn off my heater when I'm driving because it gets hot and I forget to switch it back on so when I remote start it later on it doesn't even have the heater on. Also tonight when I turned it on I had the heater up but it wouldn't start. Not even a noise. It's like if the heater was off. It took like 1 minute before it started throwing air. Do you think it's because it's cold out or should I take it to get looked at?

It will do that when its cold out. If the engine is cold so is the air coming out of the dash. Once the engine warms up you will get heat.
