I have a hissing noise coming from my stereo

When I plug my Sat radio in the cigarette lighter. Where could the problem be.

Hi Jason! A "hissing noise" usually indicates over amplification as if your amp has to be turned up high to amplify a low input signal. if the Sat unit has an output volume control you may want to experiment with that. Beyond that take it by the place where you bough the Sat and see what they say or run buy a local car audio place and pick their brain. Good luck!
