How much will this end up costing?

I have an 02 Audi A6 Avant with 113000 miles on it, i just got it a week ago and the check engine light has been on since,the fault is P0741 which is the torque converter, how much is this going to cost based on the fact that it could be the reader that is malfunctioning or the intire transmission.
