What is the problem and cost to repair - please give examples - what I should expect?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Very cold day - in low 30's.  Drove car to work - no problems.  Car sat in parking lot all day until time to go home in evening 9 hrs later.  All power okay - battery strong, cranks strong & sounds like it will start just fine, but doesn't.  Please give me ideas of what it might be and the approximate/guestimate of what it will cost to repair.  1996 Nissan Altima.

Could be fuel or ignition. Check your fuel pressure on the rail, your fuel pump might have failed, and or your ignition system.
