does the cargurus price include dealer fees?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

The actual selling price of a car is generally more than the price advertised due
to the additional dealer profit items like dealer fee, oc fee, advertising fee, etc.
When the CarGurus IMV price is shown, is it the actual selling price (inclusive
of fees), or just the advertised price?  There can be a huge difference between
the two.

Just the base price. No taxes or DMV fees. Most if not all dealer fees are BS so don't pay them.

When you buy from dealer, the ONLY thing you need to pay is the TAX. All other BS fees are negotiable. Always negotiate a "drive-out" price which is the FINAL price you'll pay with all fees and TAX included. If a car is advertised $13,500, my last offer would be $13,000 drive- out price. This makes your offer look better compare to saying $12,300.

Any legitimate dealer would laugh in your face with these tactics. Maybe a dirt lot selling salvaged vehicles would sell you a vehicle all in for 500 less than the advertised sale price but not a franchised dealer with any kind of reputation. People making uneducated comments like that kill so many Great deals on cars that people love and otherwise wanted to buy. Nobody advertises that kind of mark up on a vehicle anymore. The internet changed the game. Everybody can see what a great deal is now. Some very serious advice would be to have realistic expectations.. dont expect more than a few hundred dollars off of a price that you can already see online is a good deal.
