Mega cab..cab.. swap

I️ have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 that has severe cab
damage. I️ was wondering if a 1500 mega cab would fit
on a 2500 frame. The front end and bed is fine all I️
want to do is swap the cabs would the body mounts line
up. Also does it really matter what motor is in my donor
truck.

It'll be off by about 4" if you check it, and I'm taling width. 2 inches short on each side.
