Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery died and I can not get trunk
open to charge it. Tryed manual key but
still could get truck to release. I was able to
get doors and hood open. Is there
anywhere I can externally from the trunk
lien or unlock it or is there somewhere I
can safely charge the battery from
elsewhere without short circuiting anything.

I trickle charged through fuse box on terminal that had power on it all the time ie.... cigarette lighter. It took about 5 hours but it finally got enough power to battery to open trunk then I plugged the battery up to a charger. It has a trickle charger in the trunk for which I extended the power cable out so this never happens again. Whew that was a gamble. Nothing seems to have been affected....
