Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Long story short, my mother out the battery
terminals on backwards for a few seconds and
now im not getting spark to my coil, tried putting a
screw driver and spark plug in the plug wire and I'm
not getting anything. Sometimes if will spark
sometimes it will not. It's a brand new coil too, it
cranks, fuel pump primes but getting no spark.
What could it he? Fuseable link? I already checked
the fuses in the Can and they all check out good.
Any anwsers would be appreciated.

Reverse polarity of the battery cables is always a bad thing. The ignition module may be bad. Pretty sure that on is located on the distributor. Your local O'reilly Auto Parts store can test it if you can remove it from the vehicle.

I've tested all the ignition components and they are fine except for the pick up coil in the dizzy, could that be the culprit?
