What's a good euro car to start out with?

Asked by Jul 06, 2017 at 10:16 PM

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm trying to decide what kind of Euro ride I want to
get. I'm a fan of many makes and models but I'm
trying to decide which might be the best bet for the
long run as far as reliability and maintenance, but
also as far as style. Also looking to use it as a daily
driver. Preferably sedan. What are you guys
thinking?

That totally depends on your budget. VW makes some nice driving cars but if I were buying a European car it would be a BMW but not as a daily driver.

If you want an all around good European vehicle you better buy it new, never used, European vehicles have very high maintenance costs and the parts are also crazy high. So if your ready to take that step just make sure you plenty of money for the costs that will occur with a Euro vehicle. My safety pick for European makes is Volvo.

UGGH, not a comfortable car, too expensive for what you get, reliablity is iffy.

What kind of volvos would you recommend?

The XC series, large, roomy, I think I prefer the 40.

A lot of people like them, I don't. Oil leakers.
