I have a Chevrolet HHR 2007. Where you pour oil that part is pulled out. What is that part call

It's called a dipstick, and oil can be pour into it, but there is a cap on the engine that is usually used to add oil. the dipstick is used to check the level of the oil.

It's the part with the oil cap.
