I have an 1989 Ford probe turbo I have a
new battery and it ran good for a few days
but then it stopped working. I thought it
might be the fuel pump I was going to get it
fixed when I noticed that someone took out
some fuses under the hood.car doesn't have
any power not even for door locks or lights.
I'd it because of the missing fuses or just the
fuel pump that is causing it not to have any
power at all?
There are three basic problems with a car, 1. electrical 2. fuel related 3. or mechanical The fuel pump will not cause the electrical problem (Normally) but a short fuse or no fuse can stop the fuel pump from working...and all the lights u mentioned
If the battery is dead, maybe your alternator is not charging.
Fuse list for ur truck...it is a 20Amp
Check all the fuses to ensure they are not burned through
Try jump starting the car.
Thank you for your help, I looked under the hood and fuses have been taken out of my car, about six fuses.
