Nissan Maxima help

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I put new plugs in my 2003 Maxima and it wouldn't
start at first but I hit the gas in it started  but cut
off so I did it again it stayed running I drove it it
rides smooth but I'm running about 50mph then I
went to accelerate and it went to hesitating and
wouldn't open up any ideas what's wrong note

No lights on while sitting still but if I drive it an try to use the passing gear the check engine light pops on an off real quick like until I release the throttle
