Please to tell me how to buy a car with "bad" credit.
I am a recent widow who lost everything  through
choosing to keep my husband home with me while
he was dying.
I now have no "income track" for the time I was not
working, not paying bills, not caring about anything
but seeing to his comfort.
Previos to my husbands illness and death, I had a
good job, 450.00 car payments, and never missed
a one.
Now, I am ready to return to work but cannot do so
with no car.
I feel like I am being punished all over again each
time a lender says "No", you are not worthy of our
I would appreciate any information.

I am sorry for your loss. I would appeal to friends and relatives as lenders can only go on your income and credit. Maybe a letter from an employer to your bank might help? If you own a home perhaps a equity loan would work.

Avoid the loan shark car dealers which prey on people like you with brutal tactics and outrageous interest rates,

Can we assume that you're returning to your same job after an FMLA leave of absence to care for your Husband? A letter from your employer may help and you have the right to dispute any negative entries on your credit report. TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian are the only credit reporting agencies in the United States. Yours is clearly an extenuating circumstance. You may want to talk to a lawyer about disputing the negative entries on your credit reports. It's actually up to your creditors to prove you are/were delinquent on payments. If they can't, under The Fair Credit Reporting Act, these negative entries must be removed or you can file defamation of credit charges against the creditors. BTW, you did the right thing by keeping your Husband home. With his family around 24/7 I'm sure he was much more comfortable! That's exactly what my Mother did as well!! HTH. -Jim
