Gasoline in the oil

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 85 ford exp turbo that I just acquired.
When I popped the hood I saw a hose running from
the oil dipstick tube to a glass spaghetti sauce jar.
When I removed the hose from the oil dipstick tube
I could smell gasoline strongly. I am wondering if I
replace the fuel pump and do a oil change would
that fix the problem or do I need to find a new
engine for the car?

A little gas in the oil in normal, allot is not and can ruin your engine, DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR IF YOU HAS ALLOT A GAS IN THE OIL. Give it a shot installing a new fuel pump and an oil change.
