Oil pressure and lifters tapping

I was driving home the other day and had a lifter
start tapping and not oil pressure.  Got home
checked my oil and had plenty...  replaced the oil
pump and didn't change anything..  where do I
need to look next maybe the pick up tube?

What car and engine do you have? The mechanic should have checked the oil pump pickup screen when it was replaced. A collapsed oil filter could also cause low oil pressure as could a worn engine. How many miles on the engine?
