Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 87 ranger automatic 4x4 and was coming
down the road and lost all my gears.. any ideas??

Unless you lost all your transmission fluid I would say it is time for a rebuild of the trans.

I was thinking maybe the torque converter went out . Cause it's just odd to lose all my gears like that.. I've been driving it for a couple weeks and the transmission never gave me any issues

Make sure the transfer case didn't get pushed into Nuetral, happened to me once out in the rough stuff, some how bumped the control and it just quit moving, though I was going to have to be pulled home.
