Question type: General

Looking at a 2001 Jaguar XKR Convertible.  What has been the history of the
car?  It has 36,000 original miles.  What has normally gone wrong?  How is
the electrical system?  What about the transmission?  I recognize you can
only give a general answer based on the reported history of XKR's.

You can check the carfax for the exact history of the maintenance on the vehicle. Those are very general questions you are asking. When buying any car, it's good your asking. Research online all you can. I can say a used Jag is cheap to buy, and expensive to maintain due to parts cost and overall unreliability., even with 36K miles.

A used Jag? Walk away as you probably spend a fortune keeping it going.
