Question type: Maintenance & Repair

High coolant temp on the dash, pulled over to let it cool
down, checked the coolant, it was empty. Put coolant in it
but when I started it back up, drove less than 2minutes
it's back in the red. No check engine light but the engine
definitely sounds different now.

May have air in system now since it was completely empty. To bleed air remove cap from over flow tank add anti freeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle once vehicle starts to reach normal operating temp the thermostat will start to open and anti freeze in tank will start to drop add more anti freeze to full mark then put cap back on.
