Question type: Maintenance & Repair

92 dodge Dakota v6
I replaced the throttle position sensor, and the
coolant temperature sensor and my truck is
running much better then it did but it still cuts out
and losses power ( seems like a gas issue) but
only has problems when it shifts from one gear to
the next. It cuts out when it needs to shift and if I
let off the gas it will shift and run fine until it needs
to shift again. The rpm gauge bounces from half
grand to 2 grand even if it is idling fine.

Check the basics first, fuel pressure, filter, spark plugs, wires etc.

I have checked the basics. Would the fuel pump make it run bad after it heats up and only have the problem when it shifts?

If u have low pressure, it can do all kinds of weird things, it can also be a timing issue caused by just being off time or loose timing chain. U can easily check it with a timing gun and see if it fluctuates back and forth
