1999 Ford Expedition skipping and missing

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1999 Ford Expedition missed and
skips as you start accelerating.
There are no codes and the check
engine light is not and does not come
on when this happens.  The harder
you push the accelerator,  the worse
the misfiring.  Once you get to speed,
And release the accelerator, you don't
notice any missing or hesitation.

I would say have your catalytic converter checked from experience this is happened to me and, I took that Cadillac converter off and it fixed the problem, there are also a number things that can cause this , I.E the brain...O2 sensor and so on ...be but that's where I would start.

When was the last time it had a tuneup ? Sounds like it maybe a miss firing spark plug or plugs.
