Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driwing on a highway and car stopped
accelerating while engine was still running. Pulled
the car over and turned it off. Turned it back on
several times, engine would run but car will not
accelerate and will not move. After several tries
now it will not start any more. Any help is
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

After about 5 tries, now when I try to start it won't even crank. Now the gear is in parking position and will not move.

Sounds like a transmission issue. Have you checked the transmission fluid level? What is the make, model and year of this car?
