Swaping out engine and tranny

Question type: Car Customization

Put a 5.2 liter engine and tranny out of a 2000
dodge 1500 ext cab truck and put it in a 1998
dodge 1500 sport changed the CPU unit out but it's
not registering the tranny circuits is there another
unit I have to change out

You changed out the entire wiring harness to allow for the transmission control module too, Right? or simply put just change over the '98 so everything that was on 2000 is now on the '98 in terms of PCM, harness, connectors many times if not all the instrument cluster has to be changed too.. If its running well NOW, you've done good!
