Question type: General

Can I put I motor from a 2004 explorer 4.0
V6 into my 2005 explorer

As long as the 05 has a 4.0 in it now. There maybe some slight differences but the block will fit.

Awsome, any $$$ differences

If your having a shop do this then I'm sure they will find something to charge you for additionally, but it shouldn't be too much.

nah gotta drop myself

Then it should be just superficial, nothing drastic, there was a slight difference in the exhaust manifolds that you make have to switch so look at them both just too make sure, any transfering is easier when the engines are out.
