Yes, over time the points get pitted inside the relay and as this pitting grows the resistance climbs until it reaches a point where voltage can't flow properly so it starts to get hot when it gets too hot it breaks contact and you loose power, once it cools some it closes and starts all over again, and finally it just quits working al together. HTH
THANKS IM GOING TO CHANGE THE RELAY AND SEE HOW THAT GOES.
