Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can't get my 1996 2wd Toyota Tacoma
with the 3.4 v6 to crank. It has a new
battery and I replaced all the fuses in it

have you checked starter? try tapping it very lightly with hammer while cranking, if it cranks, you might need to replace starter.

Ok. All it does while tapping on starter is click like the battery is dying

im thinking starter is gone..because starter has brushes that make contact to coil and turn starter over..and over time those brushes wear out.. some stores use to sell the brushes that you could replace yourself..but now I think you might need to purchase a new or used one..
