95 crown Vic as I've been driving the
grandma car I notice it starting to run
better and accelerate pretty good but now
it has a rattle it sounds like a midget with a
ball ping hammer hitting the cat converter ,
maybe the carbon is breaking loose does
anyone know how many cat converters on
this year I heard 4 but are they all se
censored and does this make any sense
what I'm experiencing , please help with
suggestions

if your converters were a problem you would be slowing down and your engine temp. would be going up. check the knock sensor and see if its bad because it should be adjusting your engine timing so your car doesn't make that noise. and there can be one to four converters but my guess is two on that year make and model and if their bad your car will not want to go at higher speeds, it will have a surge back and fourth and run at a higher engine temp. change the knock sensor and or check the wiring to it. and yes it will have an O2 sensor in front and one in the rear.
