1973 Chevy k10 Silverado

New battery. I turn the key and nothing happens.
No lights, no crank. Nothing. Battery is connected
properly/was connected properly. Usually the
"brake" light on dash lights up as I turn the key.
Nothing.

Check your battery terminals an make sure there tight and look to see if there's any corrosion around them.

Thanks. Everything is clean and new. No corrosion.

how about the fuselinks down by the starter?

I'll check that again tonight. It's likely they shorted out at some point. I would think however, that I would still have lights of some kind even if the motor doesn't crank.
