92 Buick riviera. Changed temp. Sensor.
Radiator fan won't work. Straight wired to
battery w/ toggle switch. Works! Relay
seems OK. All fuses OK. Did the computer
check on my car. Said ecm, mass airflow
sensor. My cluster, which goes on and off

The coolant temp sensor is the temp sender - Here's a link to a diagram for your engine - it's part #541 http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssem...modelYear=1992 The temp sender should be near the cooling system thermostat #524 on the diagram. The temp send has two wires coming from it - a ground and the coolant temp wire that runs to the ECM - this in turn controls the output to the gauge cluster including the overheat light.
