Check engine light

Hello I four days ago I got a 2007 Chrysler sebring
last night the engine light came on and then
started flashing it was running bad I parked it this
morning started it and light still on but not flashing
run great what could it be

i would have it scanned and see what codes come up if any u can go to any advance auto parts store and they will scan for free...

The flashing light is telling you that there is a malfunction in the engine management system that is in failure right then and there, once you shut it down and it cooled off the failure is now gone so the light is on steady telling you there was a failure so it stored the code for that particular componet or circuit, so do what Shiomo suggested, write down the code and repost back here and someone will jump in and help you with further diagnosis.
