Engine shake, sputter and check light on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Out of the blue the engine in my 2003 bonneville
ssei supercharger started to shake, sputter and
the check engine came on. It has 101313 miles on
it and it ran like a new car until this happened,
what can making it do that, maybe a bad plug or
senor...smh I'm lost

By the sound of it maybe a idle control sensor check fuel filter/pump pressure spark and coils near the belt get a free scan at auto zone one of your codes will be emissions and o2 sensors thats normal with a car missing so look for idle control sensor or throttle position sensor let me know what it says the code number write them down when you goto autozone

ok thank u... I was also told that it might be the idol air control valve and I have another question will that cause the gas had to jump back and forth erratically
