Truck starving for fuel

the other morning got up to go to work started my 2003 Chevy
Silverado HD 2500 it cranked needle went only between 0 & 1 then
sputtered & turned off did this several times. gave it gas but acted like
no fuel was getting anywhere. then started AGAIN then off again is it
the fuel pump

Your fuel filter needs replaced. You may also need to add HEET to your gas. That should solve problem
